The restoration follows the natural anatomy and colour of the tooth. However, to make the promise a reality – that the fillings are invisible, visually identical to real enamel, so that they appear lifelike –.
Tooth restoration differs from aesthetic fillings, which are also made by our dentists to a high standard, in that they are almost under a magnifying glass when they shape the tooth, so they can work on the secondary grooves as well as the main grooves.
The tooth restoration is made using a special staining process, which in some places gives an artistically finished, invisible filling with a natural shade
Our patient was given a temporary filling for a month because his extensive decay made it uncertain whether the tooth could be saved. In the end, a restoration was used to treat the tooth and avoid root canal treatment. For the sake of a sterile environment, the treatment was performed in a cofferdam isolation. The photos show the temporary filling and the result after the invisible filling.
It is made using a unique layering technique with a special staining process, so that the transition between tooth and restoration is invisible to the naked eye. In addition to the aesthetic advantages, it is also a longer lasting solution than classic aesthetic fillings, as it is made with a special quality material.
Thanks to its hardness, it is wear-resistant, so it does not lose its bite height over time like conventional fillings. The hardness also allows it to be used with confidence for anterior teeth.
We treated our patient's broken incisor with restoration. A lifelike, completely natural tooth colour was achieved. The treatment was carried out in a cofferdam isolation, which makes the mouth and teeth feel a little dry after treatment, but this disappears quickly. The photos show the broken incisor and the result after treatment.
Restorations are therefore similar to a masterpiece done by a dental technician, but with less loss of tooth material, which is the most important aspect to consider.
We specifically recommend this to our patients who are particularly discerning about the beauty of their teeth, as well as to artists, models, and performers whose smiles and teeth receive special attention in their work.
