The use of dental lasers is also becoming more widespread in our country, and the number of laser dentistry is also increasing.
Dr. Fülöp Papp Márta MSc. (Lasers in Dentistry), our head dentist trains the specific professional knowledge and proper use of laser dentistry on a national level.
How do I adjust between different lasers?
Many dental surgeries use lasers: these are usually soft tissue lasers, known as soft lasers, which are low-powered and are usually used to treat the gums and speed up wound healing.
What is laser dentistry?
Laser dentistry means that it is capable of treating not just one area with a laser, but offers our dentists a wide range of treatment options in many areas of dentistry.
This implies the use of several types of laser devices at the same time, not only the commonly used soft lasers, but also bone and tooth treatment, replacing drills or scalpels.
There are laser devices that can also treat hard tissue. Thus, a trained dentist can use them to perform tooth fillings and bone removal.
In our practice, we use Biolase equipment developed at a university level, and our leading dentist, Dr. Márta Fülöp Papp, an internationally recognised laser specialist, continuously assists our dentists in their laser dental treatments.

How do I know if the dentist knows how to use a laser?
It's worth looking at the training you've completed, which is usually listed on the practice's website, on the dentist's colleague profile. The laser is an instrument that can be harmful in untrained hands: the optimum values for treating the tissue in question must be chosen so that only the diseased tissue is treated and no damage to intact surfaces is done.
In our practice, as the first in our country Dr. Márta Fülöp Papp graduated from the Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry at the University of Aachen, which trains laser dentists in the use of lasers. Our chief dentist regularly holds training courses for our dentists, so that they too can use lasers with a sure hand and at a high level in their daily work.
Dr Márta also provides regular training for external dentists, so that colleagues interested in real lasers can learn the most important rules of using laser equipment.
